Vincent Maonde

Vincent Maonde was born in Lusaka in 1949. He completed his secondary school education at Prince Philip High School in Lusaka in 1968. He graduated from Sir Evelyn Hone College, Lusaka in 1973 with a 4-year diploma in Art and Design.

In 1984 he obtained a higher diploma in Interior Architecture and Exhibition Design from the Reigate School of Art and Design in London. He headed the Arts and Design Department of the Livingstone Museum for 27 years, playing a key role in the development of the Southern Province Branch of the Visual Arts Council, of which he was chairperson on and off for many years. He has exhibited widely over the past 40 years both in Zambia and abroad, including Canada and Sweden.
